THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING AND DELETING A BLOG ON BLOGGER IN 2022

Introduction

There are three certain things that eventually happen whenever a new blog is created.

And these 3 things don't and cannot happen at the same time.

Only one can possibly take place at a time. And you need to be aware of this before starting a new blog in 2022.

THREE STAGES EVERY NEW BLOG AND BLOGGER PASSES THROUGH IN BLOGGING (FROM MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES)

1:

The Excitement Stage

This stage usually occurs twice - in the beginning and in the latter stages (i.e if the blog was able to scale through).

This is the time the blog was created, the Euphoria that comes with owning a new blog and also the future prospects of earning lots of money from the blog.

Every new blogger experiences this Excitement.

2:

The Reality stage

This is the stage where the Excitement and euphoria has gone down and reality begins to set in.

It dawns on you that it isn't about creating a new blog but the tricks and techniques needed to make it stand out are the ultimate..

The worries of getting traffic, Appearing on Google search results (and other search engines), struggling to rank well or even outrank competitors in your niche and more…

I personally call this the "SWEAT PERIOD". You will surely taste your sweat during this period if you are serious about blogging. This is usually one of the most difficult Stages in blogging.

3:

The Frustration Stage

This stage in blogging comes directly after the reality stage. This is when all efforts made to uphold the blog seem to be futile.

It seems nothing is working: No traffic, Google Adsense Rejection letter, Affiliate marketing rejected offers, Other ads rejected Notifications and more.. (a few lucky persons do not experience this stage as much).

All these come swooping in and it seems your blogging world is falling apart. And the painful part is when you see some of your counterparts in the blogging world doing so well and showing off their earnings..

Frustration begins to set in.. especially when you had high hopes for the blog from the beginning.

You would be left with two options after this stage… and that leads straight to stage 4 and 5.

4:

Resignation

This stage is where the blogger calls it off. The Frustration level at this point is so much that the only option left is to either abandon the blog for a while or permanently have it deleted.

50% of bloggers end up right here. Dead zeal, dead motivation to keep blogging

This stage is my "DEAD ZONE" nicknamed stage.

5:

Result Stage

Getting to this stage in blogging is by absolute patience, hard work, luck, grace of God and sheer will and determination to succeed as a blogger. i.e. if the blog wasn't abandoned or deleted.

It is usually the second stage of Excitement as one begins to see results of months or even years of hard work and consistency.

The traffic starts coming in, the earnings start to reflect and the alerts start coming in… that is the final stage.

It is true that a lot of bloggers fight to get to the final stage, however, a lot more usually end up in stage 4.

Hence the popular Question

How To Delete A Blog On Blogger

As easy as the process of deleting a blog on blogspot is, so many people do not know how to do it.

It is very simple to delete a blog on blogger spot as well as to Restore a deleted blog.

To Delete a blogspot blog,

  • Click on the 3 horizontal lines on the left side and scroll down to settings.

  • Click open the settings feature and find REMOVE BLOG

  • Clicking on the remove blog will take you to a page to confirm your blog. Click on confirm and that deletes your blog.

You will have an opportunity to permanently delete your blog immediately or to Restore your blog.

If you've decided to permanently remove your blog from the Blogger Platform, kindly click on Delete Blog permanently.

This action will wipe out every information about your blog from blogger as well as the internet and this command cannot be reversed or restored.

How To Restore A Deleted Blog on Blogger

Immediately after deleting a blog ( not permanently), you'd be presented with an option to permanently delete your blog or to Restore.

In the case of deleting a blog by mistake or you decided you want your blog back after you might have angrily deleted it, Simply click on the Restore button and you'd have your blog back intact!

Note, this action can only be taken within the first 90 days of initial deletion. After 90 days, a blog that had undergone the first deletion process will automatically be deleted permanently from the blogger Platform.

Summary

Understanding the above article will help you clearly understand that Starting and maintaining a blog isn't easy neither is it a day's job. If I'm going to be honest with you, it takes time, hard work and consistency.

Not to discourage anyone, rather to motivate all new bloggers to keep pushing. To help them understand that whatever challenges they are going through now isn't new or peculiar to just them alone.

Other bloggers went through the same.

However, the good news is that perseverance and persistence will yield results that will last a long time if not a lifetime.
